The report said, “The couple agreed to meet and talk about a parenting plan for [daughter] Poppy, and out of those face-to-face conversations emerged a reconciliation.” A source said that McIlroy, 35, and Stoll needed to have “a huge level of trust” to get back together.
The Belfast Telegraph reported last month that Stoll was served divorce papers at the family home in Jupiter, Florida, by a private investigator. She “did not make any attempt to hire a lawyer, refused to talk to the media and did not respond to the divorce summons.” Stoll married McIlroy in 2017 and had Poppy three years later.
It was said that Stoll missed a deadline to reply to McIlroy’s petition in the days before the divorce was called off.
McIlroy told The Guardian last Tuesday, “Over the past few weeks, Erica and I have realized that our best future was as a family together.” “Thank goodness we worked out our differences and are looking forward to a fresh start.”
