Billy Miller and Amelia Heinle were both on The Young and the Restless. Now that Miller has died, Heinle is thinking about her playing partner.
Along with a touching tribute on Instagram, the soap star shared a quote from Miller that came from a story he told her about his youth.
“My favorite thing growing up was hiding out from the rain in our little barn with a tin roof on it, it’s still my favorite sound. Listening to it coming down and the way it gave me peace,” read the quote from 2010.
Miller played Billy Abbott on the afternoon soap opera, and Heinle plays Victoria Newman. The made-up characters got married on Y&R the same year that Miller told Heinle about this story.

Miller passed away on September 15, after a long battle with bipolar illness.
In 2007, he made his soap opera debut as Richie Novak on All My Children, a part he would keep until 2008. In the same year, Miller got the part of Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless, where he stayed until 2014.
As Miller worked on the CBS thriller, he also got parts in shows like Justified, Ringer, Castle, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Miller would move on to General Hospital in 2014, where he would play Jonathan Morgan and Drew Cain.
Miller kept getting recurring parts on TV shows like Suits, Ray Donovan, and Truth Be Told. There was an episode of NCIS in 2022 called “Unearth” where he played Ezra Moretti. That was his last TV part.
