The California legislature is considering a bill that would pass an annual tax on each firearm owned by a gun owner in the state and there is a neccessary registration of the firearm. Failure to register a firearm would subject the owner to possible fines of up to $250.

They want to make all Californians pay a fee, every year, for each firearm they own. This obviously unconstitutional law would be in addition to the insane tax they already put on firearms and ammunition.”
