New iPad Pro and iPad Air Lines Reportedly Released in March

After recently revamping its MacBook line-up, Apple is reportedly gearing up to announce a release for new models in its iPad Air and iPad Pro series come March 26. It is reported that much like the MacBook series launches, the iPad launches might also miss a public launch event, with the new offerings coming unveiled through a press release.

According to a report by display industry analyst Ross Young, it is being projected that by the end of March or early April, Cupertino-based technology giant Apple will launch new iPad Air and iPad Pro models.

In the meantime, a report by the Chinese website IT Home suggests that Apple may unveil the new range of the iPad on March 26. However, the report quotes several Amazon listings of third-party cases on the e-commerce platform as pointing to the launch date.

That does correspond with an earlier prediction from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurnman that had indicated Apple could launch the revamped iPad range by the end of March. However, in his latest edition of the ‘Power On’ newsletter, Gurman said that the new iPads would probably be delayed to the market since the iPadOS 17.4 software, designed specifically for them, just isn’t ready at the moment.

Apple is expected to introduce two new iPad Pro models that could be the company’s latest M3 chipset and an OLED display, according to the research firm. The new iPad Pro models could bring a completely redesigned camera bump, MagSafe wireless charging, a landscape front camera, and a slimmed-down body.

Accessories like Magic Keyboards and Apple pencils needed to get an upgrade from the company for its iPad Pro lineup. It is expected that the company will announce new ones in this category. There are also reports of Apple gearing to announce its very first iPad Air, which will sport a 12.9-inch display.

The new 12.9-inch size of the iPad Air is expected to have a design akin to the all-screen thinner body in the current generation. The latest tablet from Apple is expected to come with a Touch ID button at the top and grilles for speakers at the bottom, in the same way as the previous generation.

In addition, a new revised and revamped lineup of MacBook Air will also be part of the launching products, with 13-inch and 15-inch screen sizes. These models are expected to be powered by an Apple M2 processor in comparison to the M3 chipsets used by the latest iPad Pro lineup.
