Chris Gauthier, the talented Canadian actor recognized for his roles in “Once Upon a Time” as Smee and “Smallville” as Winslow Schott/Toyman, has sadly passed away after a brief illness at the age of 48 on February 23, 2024. Chris Gauthier’s Legacy

Gauthier started his career in notable movies such as “40 Days and 40 Nights,” “Insomnia,” and “Agent Cody Banks.” In the 2003 horror film “Freddy vs. Jason,” he portrayed Shack, a high school bully who fell victim to Jason Vorhees. He further showcased his talent in other films like “Riding the Bullet,” “The Foursome,” and “Watchmen.”

One of Gauthier’s prominent TV roles was on Syfy’s “Eureka,” where he played Vincent, the chef and owner of Café Diem. This supporting role spanned all five seasons of the show. While starring on “Eureka,” he also appeared in four episodes of “Smallville” as the villain Toyman, and was a groomsman in the limited-run horror series “Harper’s Island.” In 2012, he joined the cast of “Once Upon a Time,” embodying the role of Smee from the Peter Pan universe. His recent work includes a recurring role in season two of “Joe Pickett.”
