Kai Cenat, who is 21-years-old, was born in New York City in 2001. His parents are immigrants from Haiti and Trinidad & Tobago. He has a twin sister named Kaia, an older brother named Devonte, and a younger brother named Kaleel.
Cenat was studying business administration at Morrisville State College before dropping out in 2020 to focus on his social media career.

Cenat was recently in the news for getting in trouble with the law last Friday after thousands of people showed up to a Union Square Park “meet-up”, where the streamer promised to give away PlayStation 5 consoles, microphones, keyboards, webcams, gaming chairs, and gift cards from a truck.
After thousands of people showed up violence erupted between the gatherers and police.
Dozens of teenagers got arrested during the incident and Cenat was also taken into custody and charged with felony first-degree rioting, as well as misdemeanor inciting a riot and unlawful assembly. Cenat didn’t have a permit to hold such a large public event.
The creator was released from jail on Saturday but he will have to appear in court on August 18.
