We are very sad to say goodbye to Janice Ruth Nance of Newport, Rhode Island. Her lively spirit touched many people’s lives. Janice Ruth passed away on August 6, 2024, when she was 80 years old. George Roy Wilson and Leola Manes Wilson, her parents, and her brothers Ouida Rossman, Dorothy Geiger, Annabelle Leopold, Loree Battaglia, Geraldine Powers, James Roy Wilson, Kathryn Heaton, Edwin Wilson, and Gilbert Wilson all died before her.
Nancy Stovall (Allen) of Brooklet, Ellen Gill (Kenny) of Statesboro, and Robert Nance (Betsy) of Statesboro are her children and grandchildren.
So are her sister Martha Wilson (Toby) of Statesboro and her grandchildren Miranda Braswell (Ben), Casey Wilson (John), Rebecca Ogletree (Kyle), Paige Fail (Ashley), Philip Nance (Nicole), Walker Stovall, Will Nance, and Trey Nance. She also left behind 13 great-grandchildren.

From 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, people can visit the Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory (502 Miller St Ext, Statesboro, GA 30458). There will be a funeral service at the same place on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
