Pedro “Pete” Perez, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was 59 years old. Born on January 3, 1966, in Robstown, Texas, Pete lived a life defined by love for his family, service to his community, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
Pete was preceded in death by his father, Ricardo Perez Sr.; his beloved grandchildren, Thomas James and Jaxon Owen; and his brother-in-law, Jose Gonzalez Jr. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, San Juanita Perez, and their children: Chelsea Nicole Perez (Joseph Espinoza), Felicia Perez, Blake Perez, Pedro Perez Jr. (Lindsey), Dacian Perez (Hermelinda), and Stephanie Perez (Rodney Campos). For four decades, Pete served the city of Robstown with dedication and integrity. His professional commitment reflected his love for his hometown, where his work left a lasting mark. Beyond his career, Pete also volunteered as a firefighter, embodying courage, compassion, and selflessness in every call to serve.
Pete’s passions revealed his love for life and the outdoors. He was happiest while fishing, hunting, or perfecting his BBQ skills at family gatherings. A proud Texan, he carried an unwavering devotion to the Dallas Cowboys, but nothing brought him greater joy than time spent with his family.
Those who knew Pete will remember his kind heart, warm smile, and ability to make everyone feel valued. His generosity and welcoming nature touched everyone he encountered, leaving behind memories that will be cherished forever.
As we say goodbye to Pedro “Pete” Perez, we celebrate a life filled with love, hard work, and devotion to family and community. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
