TMZ reports that on April 20, Stewart and her screenwriter fiancé exchanged vows in a discreet outdoor ceremony. The couple got their marriage license in a Los Angeles courthouse less than a week before to the small wedding.
According to People, the pair “exchanged vows at home in front of an intimate group of loved ones,” including Ashley Benson, a former cast member of Pretty Little Liars, and her husband, Brandon Davis.
Although they initially crossed paths on set in 2013, Stewart and Meyer didn’t begin dating until 2019. They have maintained a low-key relationship since making their Instagram debut in 2019. Stewart has, however, already opened up about certain parts of their relationship: In 2024, she disclosed that she and Meyer were thinking about having a baby together after confirming that they had become engaged in 2021.

On the set of American Ultra in 2013, Stewart meets Meyer, the daughter of Oscar-nominated screenwriter Nicholas Meyer, informally. They won’t be together for another six years, though.

2019: A common friend sparks a reconnection
In August 2019, Stewart and Meyer sparked dating rumors after a public curb spotted them kissing. Only a month after the Twilight actress was seen kissing her ex-girlfriend Stella Maxwell in Italy, the private encounter was caught on camera.
Two months later, in October, Meyer publishes a picture of herself and Stewart sharing a kiss in a photobooth, officially establishing their relationship on Instagram.

Stewart discloses that she and Meyer had reconnected at a mutual friend’s birthday celebration during an interview on The Howard Stern Show in November 2019. “She rocked up at a friend’s birthday party and I was like, ‘Where have you been and why have I not known you?'” Stewart recalls her initial thoughts about Meyer.
When I expressed my love for her for the first time, it was late at night in a rather unrefined bar, and her friends were present but eventually departed. I thought to myself, ‘Oh my, I am truly in love with you.’ I thought, ‘Oh man, I’m so f***ing in love with you’.” “Done,” the Love Lies say. Meyer pops the question to Stewart in 2021, saying, “We’re getting married; it’s happening.”
Although Stewart had earlier assured Stern that she would “absolutely” pop the question to her screenwriter partner, Meyer is the one who does so.
In an interview with Stern in November 2021, Stewart declares, “We’re getting married, we’re going to do it.” “I believe I articulated my desires precisely because I desired a proposal, and she executed it flawlessly.” She performed pretty well, and it was adorable. We’re marrying; it’s happening.”

She responds, “I don’t know, we might just go do it this weekend or something, and then, like, just hang out with everyone afterwards.” “You know, I just want to do it. I’m not excellent at planning. I can’t make plans for dinner.”
The couple makes their first public appearance together two months later, in March 2022, when they go to an Oscars celebration that the Hollywood Reporter is hosting. Less than a week later, they appear on the Critics’ Choice Awards red carpet.
2024: Stewart and Meyer discuss starting a family
Despite her fear of giving birth, Stewart says in her Rolling Stone cover story from February 2024 that she hopes to eventually start a family with Meyer.
“There’s no f***ing way that I don’t start acquiring kids,” the 35-year-old actress states, adding that she has no idea what her family would look like. “I sincerely hope that occurs.”
In March 2024, Stewart reaffirms her wish to become a mother with Meyer on the podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat, mentioning that they have frozen their eggs to keep their choices open.
“We’ve done annoying things like freeze our eggs and stuff,” Stewart admits. “Therefore, we can if we so choose.”

2025: Meyer and Stewart get married in private
Meyer and Stewart tie the knot on April 20. TMZ is the first to reveal that they announced their wedding to family and friends, despite neither of them having confirmed the news. The event is held at the Los Feliz district of Los Angeles at a restaurant called Casita Del Campo. Stewart had previously stated that they wanted to get married in Los Angeles.
“I wish to remain at home. In November 2021, Stewart tells Stern, “I want to be in L.A. so everyone can come.” “I want it to be quite laid-back. Nobody should lead anyone along any aisles, in my opinion. We will simply stand, exchange vows, and then have an amazing party.
