The Fond du Lac community is grieving the unexpected loss of a vibrant young soul, Adam Christian Hedman, aged 21. This article pays tribute to Adam’s life, celebrating his achievements, passions, and the lasting impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him.
Early Life and Education
Born on February 9, 2002, in Milwaukee, WI, to Pastor Douglas and Faith Hedman, Adam grew up attending Pier Elementary School, Theisen Middle School, and Fond du Lac High School. His pursuit of knowledge led him to Concordia University in Mequon, WI, where he was a dedicated senior, majoring in Computer Science with a focus on Cyber Security.
A Heart for Service
Adam’s summers were spent working at A&W in Fond du Lac for six years, showcasing his strong work ethic and dedication. His caring and considerate nature was evident from a young age, as he would even help his neighbors mow the lawn using his toy mower. In a final act of generosity, Adam became an organ donor, contributing to the noble cause of saving lives.

As a Pastor’s kid (PK), Adam was an active member of various Lutheran churches, where he was baptized and confirmed. He participated in church activities, serving as an acolyte and engaging in numerous service projects that reflected his commitment to his faith and community.
Passions and Hobbies
Known for his love of gaming, Adam was a captain of the e-sports team at Concordia. His team’s victory in the Wisconsin Valorant Academic Circuit LAN Tournament marked a significant achievement. Beyond gaming, he enjoyed playing chess, participating in sports like basketball, volleyball, and track, and indulging in hobbies like watching anime, K-dramas, and reading manga, light novels, and webtoons. Adam’s sense of humor, love for laughter, and appreciation for music, where he sang in the choir and played the saxophone in the band, made him a well-rounded individual.
