Parma police didn’t say anything about how Officer Straub died in a post on the department’s Facebook page on Thursday night. The post says Straub became the first woman to be hired by the Parma Police SWAT Team and started working for the Parma Police Department in December 2019.
In a Facebook post, Parma Police Chief James Blair said, “We are deeply saddened by Officer Straub’s sudden death.” “Both her smile and her beautiful soul could light up a room.” The bravery in her spread to the people she worked with. Every person who met her had a lot of respect for her. Those who worked with her and knew her will miss her very much.
Straub’s family and friends could visit on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Ripepi Funeral Home in Parma. Monday, April 22, at 11 a.m., there will be a Mass of Christian Burial at Cleveland’s Mary Queen of Peace Parish, located at 4423 Pearl Road.
It was a hard time for Officer Straub’s family, friends, and coworkers, so Parma police asked people to keep them in their thoughts and prayers.
The funeral route is illustrated in the post below.
