PM Modi’s Show of Force: A Clear & Decisive Response to Terrorism

During a surprise visit to the frontline Adampur airbase in Punjab on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that India’s new Lakshman Rekha (red line) against terrorism is crystal clear and that New Delhi will respond fiercely to any future attack.

With the Russian-made S-400 missile launcher in the backdrop, Modi celebrated the military’s victories in the most recent four-day war with Pakistan, praised the armed response’s “jointness,” and claimed that the terror leaders in the neighboring nation now knew that any attack on India would lead to their destruction.

“India’s anti-terrorism Lakshman Rekha is now obvious. In reference to Operation Sindoor, he stated during his roughly 30-minute speech that “India will respond strongly if hit by a terror attack and our response will be at a time of our choosing, on our conditions, and in our way.”

“You have written history and will serve as an inspiration to this generation and the next. I have come here today for a darshan of our courageous soldiers.”

According to sources, Modi’s visit to the Adampur airbase seems intended to pierce Pakistan’s massive disinformation effort regarding attacking many Indian military assets, including air bases, during the confrontation that lasted from May 7–10.

PM Modi's Show of Force

One of the Indian Air Force’s top bases, Adampur, is 25 kilometers from Jalandhar town. Pakistan falsely claimed to have attacked it, destroying the Russian-made S-400 air defense systems stationed there, hitting the fighter jets and runway, and also hitting a radar site.

The first public image of the long-range air defense system in IAF service was taken from the airfield, which houses the IAF’s MiG-29 jets. It included the PM speaking to the air force members while standing in front of an S-400 launcher. A MiG-29 fighter plane, along with a completely undamaged runway, was visible in the background of another image showing Modi mingling with the men and women at the base.

His comments were made three days after India and Pakistan agreed to stop military operations, ending four days of intensifying fighting with drones, missiles, and long-range weapons that sparked concerns of a full-scale warfare.

At 6.15 a.m., Modi arrived at Adampur airport on a C-130J special operations aircraft. He spent around fifty minutes at the airfield, interacting with senior military leaders and air force members. According to Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Aggarwal, Modi’s visit was “extremely private.”

When India bombed nine terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir on May 7, Modi praised the military personnel that carried out Operation Sindoor, saying it was the culmination of New Delhi’s policy, intention, and decisiveness.

Nine terrorist organizations were destroyed. Over 100 terrorists lost their lives. The terrorist leaders now realize that they will invite devastation if they even glance at India. Modi stated, “You informed the Pakistani army, on which the terrorists rely, that there is nowhere in Pakistan where they can feel secure.”

The comments were made in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, on April 22. The attack was the bloodiest against civilians in the nation in about 20 years, killing 26 persons, all of whom were men, 25 of whom were tourists, and 24 of whom were Hindu.

Why PM Modi Named It As Operation Sindoor; Here Is What You Need To Know!

Modi restated the three tenets of the new India doctrine: India would not distinguish between nations that support terrorism and terrorists, New Delhi will not tolerate nuclear blackmail, and any terror assault against the nation will be met with a forceful response. During his speech to the country on Monday, he reiterated those remarks.

He praised the air force for not destroying any civilian flights, charged Pakistan with exploiting civilian aircraft as a cover for its operations, and claimed that Operation Sindoor strengthened India’s unity and confidence. He asserted that the air force not only targeted Pakistan’s aviation and terror bases, but also destroyed their terrorist mishaps and malicious intent.

He praised the armed forces’ coordination and claimed that the world was finally catching up to India’s newfound strength. “This is jointness.” The capabilities of the Indian military now have a distinct identification like this,” he stated.

“We have to be prepared. WWe must consistently remind the enemy that India has undergone significant changes.nificant changes. We desire peace, but this version of India has the capability to destroy you in an attack,” he added.

He said that India’s air defense systems, which include the S-400 platform and the domestic Akash surface-to-air missile system, offer a robust defense against the enemy’s firepower.

In the last ten years, the Indian military has been equipped with the best technologies available worldwide, he added, adding that “Pakistan cannot match our capabilities built on cutting-edge technology.” “Our adversaries realize the significance of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ when our military takes the wind out of nuclear blackmail,” he stated.

The military is in agreement.

“The government’s unwavering budgetary and policy support in acquiring state-of-the-art equipment and weapon systems has made it possible to put together and operationalize this potent air defense (AD) environment over the last ten years,” said Air Marshal AK Bharti, director general of air operations, on Monday.

In addition to targeting Adampur, Pakistan made bogus claims that it had targeted an ammo storage in Chandigarh, neutralized a BrahMos missile site at Nagrota, and damaged airfields in Suratgarh, Sirsa, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Bhuj, and Naliya.

During a special briefing on Operation Sindoor on Monday, senior officials stated that the Indian military’s robust, multi-tiered air defense (AD) network—a blend of modern and legacy, as well as indigenous and imported weapons—thwarted multiple waves of Pakistani attacks on numerous locations from May 7–10 and minimized damage to both military infrastructure and civilian areas.

India’s military systems and bases are completely functional and prepared to take on any task.

Pakistan’s allegations of demolishing military stations, vital infrastructure, and electrical and cyber networks were previously refuted by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri. These were calculated attempts to influence diplomatic and military reactions rather than just propaganda.

Early on May 7, Operation Sindoor got underway, with India reaching its goal.

The IAF hit other military sites in Karachi, including Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, Chunian, Pasrur, Sialkot, Skardu, Sargodha, Jacobabad, Bholari, and Malir Cantt, between the strike on the terror camps and the ceasefire announcement on May 10.
