Breaking Records: Intel Launches Core i9-14900KS with 6.2GHz Clock Speed

Intel released its newest 14th Gen Core desktop chip on Thursday. The company says that the 14th Gen Intel Core i9-14900KS is the fastest desktop chip in the world. It is said that the CPU can run at up to 6.2GHz.

It has 24 cores and 32 threads, and the company that made the chip says that the new desktop chip is up to 15% better for gaming than the last wave of processors. The tech giant made the Intel Core i9-14900K public in October 2023.

In a press release, Intel called the 14th Gen Intel Core i9-14900KS the fastest desktop CPU in the world based on its clock speed. It uses its own unique Thermal Velocity Boost technology to say that the processor can reach a top turbo frequency of up to 6.2GHz.

The first day you could buy it was March 14, and the price was $699, which is about Rs. 58,000. It can be bought through Intel’s authorized channels and original equipment maker (OEM) partners around the world, both as a boxed processor and as a part of a system.

People who really like PCs, especially gamers and artists, can now enjoy the i9-14900KS’s record-breaking 6.2 GHz frequency, which will make their desktop experience faster than ever.

When it comes to cores, the Intel Core i9-14900KS has 24 of them, with 8 Performance cores (also called P cores), 16 Efficient cores (also called E cores), and 32 threads. It also has 20 PCIe lanes, 16 of which are PCIe 5.0 lanes and 4 of which are PCIe 4.0 lanes, and 150 watts of processor base power. It has 36MB of Intel Smart Cache as well.

The Intel Application Optimisation Overview (APO) can improve the speed of up to 11% of software titles that are supported by the Intel Core i9-14900KS. Memory speeds of up to 192GB DDR5 5600 MTps or DDR4 3200 MTps can be used with this CPU. It also works with systems that are Z790 and Z690.
