Web records from Clark County, Las Vegas, show that Kelsey Plum, a two-time WNBA winner, and Darren Waller, a tight end for the New York Giants, have filed for divorce after one year of marriage.
Plum, an All-Star guard for the Las Vegas Aces, and Waller asked for a divorce together on Tuesday. Plum wrote something on social media on Tuesday that seems to be about the breakup.
“I am heartbroken. She wrote, “I went through hell for that man, but now I see it’s time to go.” “God has blessed me with a wonderful life, and I’m so thankful for the deep love of my family and friends.”
“I’ll tell my story someday, but not today.” Thank you for giving me the strength to deal with my pain, forgive, and move on. I’m going to choose joy today and every day. Many thanks, KP.”
Waller hasn’t said anything on social media.
The couple said they were married in March 2023, while Waller was still playing for the Las Vegas Raiders. They were one of the most famous couples in Las Vegas sports when Plum played for the Aces. Soon after, Waller was sent to New York in a trade.
