Griselda Blanco was Miami’s busiest cocaine dealer in the late 1970s, and Michael Corleone Blanco is her son. He knows what it means to be devoted to one’s family. The boy’s dad, Dario Sepulveda, sold drugs and died in front of Michael when he was five years old. A lot of people think Michael’s mother planned his death. Michael doesn’t mess around when it comes to family ties and the people he loves.
After its premiere on VH1 in 2019, Cartel Crew gave fans a look at the kids of powerful criminals. Michael and Marie Ramirez De Arellano, who was his girlfriend at the time, were in the show. Even though Michael and Marie loved their parents very much, they were trying to stay away from the sins that their families had done.

The bio for Marie on VH1’s gang Crew landing page says that her father was in the gang, but he kept his business dealings separate from his personal life. He went to and from jail many times before he was able to get away from the cartel. Sadly, he also left Marie, who didn’t marry the same guy as her dad, but someone close.
As part of their work for Cartel Crew in 2022, Michael and Marie talked to Lori Rosales for Sidewalks Entertainment. The question Lori asked was one that we all have: what were their childhoods like? Marie told Lori, “We had a normal life here in Miami.” Unfortunately, her father was no longer able to hide his crimes from her family. This all ended “when the law caught up.”
Marie Blanco has a legal background
Marie was asked to be a celebrity judge at the 2nd Annual Women’s Canna Awards in November 2023. These awards honor women who work in the cannabis business. The WCA put up a picture of Marie on Instagram, which tells us that she did have a normal childhood.

Her parents were the first in their family to be Cuban-American and raised her in Miami. Marie’s grandparents were forced to leave Cuba. Her grandpa was the “first Cuban immigrant to open a natural sponge factory on the Miami River.”
Marie was motivated by her parents’ drive to be successful business owners. She liked “working for her parents’ courier company during middle school, doing administrative tasks and getting ready for future job opportunities.”
Marie went to a private college in Miami and worked as a legal assistant while getting her associate’s degree in paralegal studies. She had a short stint as a flight attendant before going to college. Life can be pretty funny at times.
